A BILL TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDING SECTION 16-1-60, RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF A VIOLENT CRIME, SO AS TO REMOVE CERTAIN OFFENSES INVOLVING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 24-13-100, RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF A NO PAROLE OFFENSE, SO AS TO EXCLUDE CERTAIN OFFENSES INVOLVING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES.
